Key Features

📡
40-Ticker ORB Scanner
Tracks the opening range breakout state for up to 40 tickers simultaneously. See every ticker's ORB status in one table.
Full State Machine
IDLE → BROKEN → RETESTING → CONTINUING. Each ticker progresses through the ORB sequence automatically. Opposite-side breaks reset direction at any state.
📊
TP Progress Bar
A visual progress bar shows how far each ticker has moved from the ORB level toward the first target. 0–100% = approaching TP1. 100–200% = between TP1 and TP2.
🎯
Up to 6 Take Profit Levels
Configure 1–6 TP levels. Each TP is calculated as a percentage of the Opening Range width. Default TP = 50% of the ORB width.
🛑
Fib-Based Stop Zone
Stop level is calculated as ORB level minus (ORB width × Fib stop %). Default 50% Fib stop. Shown in the table as exact stop price.
📐
Entry Distance Column
Shows how far the current price is from the ORB breakout level, as a percentage of the ORB width. Minimal, Compact, or Full display modes.
🔵
TFC + sXc Confluence
Full TFC and sXc integration with display labels in the table and optional filtering — hide tickers where trend doesn't agree with break direction.
🔖
State Column Modes
Minimal (emoji only), Compact (short text), or Full (full description) display modes for the state column. Tune table width for your chart.

How It Works

→ The ORB Strategy
Opening Range = The Day's Roadmap
The first 30 minutes (or whatever period you configure) of the session defines the Opening Range. The high and low of that range become the key levels for the day. When price breaks above the ORB high or below the ORB low with conviction, the direction of the break typically defines the morning trend. sX ORB Radar watches all 40 of your tickers simultaneously so you never miss a live ORB break.
01
Define the Opening Range
For each ticker, the ORB high and ORB low are calculated as the highest high and lowest low during the first N candles of the session on the ORB Period timeframe. Default: 30 minutes (6 × 5m candles).
02
Detect the Break
When a Screener TF candle closes above the ORB high, a bullish break is confirmed (BROKEN state, Up direction). When it closes below the ORB low, a bearish break (BROKEN state, Down direction). Opposite-side break at any time resets to the new direction.
03
Detect the Retest
After a break, if a Retest Detection TF candle closes back inside the ORB range [ORL, ORH], the ticker enters RETESTING state. This is the high-probability entry zone.
04
Detect Continuation
After a retest, if a Continuation Detection TF candle closes back through the ORB level in the original break direction, the ticker enters CONTINUING state. Confirmed BRB complete.
05
Calculate TP and Stop
TP1 = ORB break level + (ORB width × Target %). Stop = ORB level − (ORB width × Fib stop %). For bulls: stop is below the ORH. For bears: stop is above the ORL.
06
TP Progress Tracking
The TP Progress bar shows a float from 0.0 to maxTP: 0.0 = at the break level, 1.0 = at TP1, 1.7 = 70% of the way to TP2, and so on. Updated on every bar.
→ Timeframe ArchitectureThe ORB Radar uses three different timeframes for different calculations: ORB Period TF (defines the range), Screener TF (detects the break), Retest TF and Cont TF (detect retest and continuation). All computed inside one security call per ticker.

Pro Tips

ORB Period and Screener TF Must Be Aligned
If your ORB Period is 30m and your Screener TF is 5m, the scanner checks 5m candles for breaks from the 30-minute range. Use Screener TF = 5m for active breaks, 15m for cleaner signals with fewer false starts.
Enable Retest Filter for Entry Timing
Toggle the Retest Filter ON at 9:30am. Your table now shows only tickers that have broken their ORB AND are currently retesting. This is your live entry list.
50% TP = One ORB Width
With Target % at 50% and Number of TPs at 2, TP1 is half the ORB width beyond the level, TP2 is a full ORB width. This creates a natural 1:2 risk/reward if the stop is at 50% Fib below the level.
Narrow ORB Period = Tighter Range = Bigger Moves
A 5-minute ORB is smaller than a 30-minute ORB. A tighter range means the TP targets are closer and the stops are tighter — but breakouts from a narrow range often move farther as a percentage.
Watch for Opposite-Side Breaks
If a bull BROKEN ticker suddenly breaks the ORB low, it resets to a bear BROKEN state. Keep watching the table during fast-moving sessions — the state machine updates on every bar.

→ sXSuite IntegrationsX ORB Radar is the ORB-specific companion to sXRadar. sXRadar finds STRAT candle patterns across your watchlist. ORB Radar finds tickers at each stage of the opening range breakout. When both scanners flag the same ticker — a STRAT 2u signal AND an ORB Retest — that is a high-confluence, high-priority setup. Confirm with sXMTF Trends and execute with sX Options Analyzer.
