12 / Tips
Getting the Most From sXPaper
Journal Every Trade Immediately After Entry
Write your thesis while it's fresh — before the outcome biases how you remember the setup. The By Setup report is only useful if the journal field is actually filled in.
Tag Trades That Came From sXRadar or sXCheaper
Use #sXRadar or #sXCheaper tags on every trade that originated from those tools. The By Tag report then tells you whether those signals are actually profitable for you personally.
Use the Strategy Checker Weekly
Define a daily-loss cap and a max trades-per-day rule from the start. Run the checker every Friday. If your Revenge Trade compliance is 40%, that's the most valuable signal your journal has given you.
Set Rules Before Starting to Paper Trade
It's easy to rationalize rule-breaking after the fact. Set your rules first, trade, then check. The pre-set rules give the checker something to evaluate.
Use the Calendar to Find Patterns
Red streaks on certain days of the week, or certain market-condition tags, reveal when you shouldn't be trading. That pattern only emerges if you're consistent with the daily journal entries.
13 / Limitations
Important Notes
→ Paper Trading OnlysXPaper uses real prices but simulates trades with virtual money. Results do not represent actual trades or guaranteed performance. Nothing in sXPaper is financial advice.
Known Limitations
| Setting | Default | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fills use possibly delayed quotes | Sandbox Tradier token = 15-minute delayed. Production token = real-time. Check your tier. | ||
| Trade during market hours | Outside market hours or expired contracts can return zero quotes, distorting P&L. | ||
| No historical backtesting | sXPaper is for live practice and journaling. Reports are built only from trades you manually place. | ||
| No multi-leg options | Each trade is a single options contract. Multi-leg strategies (spreads, strangles) require placing each leg as a separate trade. |
→ sXSuite IntegrationsXPaper is the practice layer of the sXSuite Execute phase. The full workflow: Scan with sX Radar LIVE or sXRadar. Find affordable contracts with sX Cheaper. Confirm confluence with sXMTF Trends. Paper trade the setup in sXPaper before risking real capital. Use sX Options Analyzer when ready to execute live.
