The Core 4 — Options Edition
CORE · v1.0
⚠ START HERE
This is the streamlined Core system — four tools that take you from a watchlist scan all the way to a managed options trade. sXRadar finds the setup. sXMTF Trends and sXSBox tell you whether to take it and where it’s going. sXOptions Chain and sXOptions Analyzer let you pick the right contract and manage the trade. Master these four, and the rest of the suite becomes optional.
⬡ PHASE 1 — SCAN
Find the setup first. Never start a trading day by staring at a chart. Let the scanner tell you which tickers are actually showing something today — everything else is noise.
sXRadar — The Setup Scanner
sXRadar
01
What it does
Scans up to 40 tickers at once on a single chart and shows every STRAT pattern firing on each ticker — Inside Bars, Shooters, Hammers, Fail 2-Ups, Fail 2-Downs, and Outside Bars. No more flipping through dozens of charts to find “what’s moving.”
02
Set up your watchlists
You get 6 watchlists — load them with your favorite tickers (Top 40, sectors, cheap names, earnings plays, etc.). Switch between them with the Active Watchlist dropdown. Build them once, use them every day.
03
Pick your screener timeframe
The Screener TF sets the bar size for every signal. Daily for swing setups, 1H for intraday plays, 5m for scalps. Match it to how long you plan to hold the trade.
04
Add directional filters (optional but powerful)
Turn on TFC (Time Frame Continuity) and sXc (EMA cross composite) to only show signals that agree across every higher timeframe you select. Filter the table down to aligned signals only — the highest-conviction setups.
05
Use Signal Lookback for missed bars
Lookback 0 = right now. Lookback 1–3 = include signals from the last few bars. Use it when you arrive late or want to catch setups still in their early entry window.
KEY RULE: Don’t trade what isn’t on the radar. If a ticker isn’t showing a signal, you don’t have a setup — you have a hope.
What the Signals Mean — Bar Reference
1 — INSIDE Bar’s high is below the prior high AND low is above the prior low. Coiling for a breakout — watch the next bar for direction.
2u — TWO UP Bar made a higher high than prior. Bullish — price pushing up. Primary call setup when higher TFs agree.
2d — TWO DOWN Bar made a lower low than prior. Bearish — price pushing down. Primary put setup when higher TFs agree.
3 — OUTSIDE Bar made both a higher high AND lower low than prior. Expansion bar — momentum is on. Close determines direction.
HA — HAMMER Long lower wick = sellers rejected. Often signals a reversal up at support — especially good after a 2d sets the low.
SH — SHOOTER Long upper wick = buyers rejected. Often signals a reversal down at resistance — especially good after a 2u sets the high.
F2U — FAIL 2-UP Bar tried to break the prior high but closed back below it. Bullish trap turning bearish — consider puts.
F2D — FAIL 2-DN Bar tried to break the prior low but closed back above it. Bearish trap turning bullish — consider calls.
CALL VS. PUT QUICK GUIDE: Bullish signals (2u, Hammer, F2D, green 3) point to calls. Bearish signals (2d, Shooter, F2U, red 3) point to puts. Inside bars mean wait — the next bar resolves it.
⬡ PHASE 2 — ANALYZE
Confirm the bias and map the levels. A signal alone isn’t a trade. Before you risk a dollar, check whether the trend agrees with your direction and identify exactly where price is going — entry, target, and invalidation.
sXMTF Trends — The Conviction Read
sXMTF Trends
01
What it does
Displays a multi-row table showing market bias across 7 timeframes you choose. At a glance you see candle direction (TFC), EMA cross state (sXc), ATR ranges, bullish/bearish day count, and an overall Score from -100% to +100%.
02
Read the TFC row first
TFC (Time Frame Continuity) is simply: is this TF’s candle green or red? All green = full bullish stack. All red = full bearish stack. Mixed = caution. You want your trade direction to match the higher TFs.
03
Confirm with the sXc row
sXc shows the EMA cross state (Golden = fast above slow, Death = below) combined with the Lorentzian Kernel filter. A Strong Bull cell means both the EMAs and the kernel agree — that’s your highest-quality bullish read.
04
Use the Score as your conviction meter
The Score combines every selected TF into a single percentage. The label tells you the regime at a glance:
NEUTRAL
< 25%
LEAN
25–49%
STRONG
50–74%
SUPER
75%+
05
Use ATR rows for sizing context
The ATR cells show how much each TF typically moves. If the daily ATR is $5 and you’re targeting $1, that’s a 20% ATR move — very achievable. Targeting $10? You’re asking for 2x daily ATR — unrealistic for one session.
RULE OF THUMB: Lean — trade with caution and smaller size. Strong — standard conviction trade. Super — high-conviction, you can press. Neutral — chop. Stand down.
sXSBox — Map the Trade Zone
sXSBox
01
What it does
Draws a box between a meaningful swing high (top) and swing low (bottom). That box becomes your trade map — resistance overhead, support below, midpoint as the pivot, and projected target levels (TPs) above and below.
02
Choose how the box is built
Three modes: Auto-Select Best Box (the indicator picks the optimal swing pair for you), Swing Offset (you choose which swing — 0 = closest, 1 = next, etc.), or Manual Price Input (type the exact top/bottom). Start with Auto-Select while you learn.
03
Read the key levels
Top line = resistance / breakout trigger. Bottom line = support / breakdown trigger. Midpoint (50%) = the pivot — above it leans bullish, below it leans bearish. The Golden Zone (28.6–50% or 50–78.6%) is the high-probability pullback area for entries.
04
Watch the 1st Breakout Line
Once price closes outside the box, the 1st Breakout line marks where the move began. That level becomes the new pivot — if price comes back and holds it as support, you have a textbook retest entry.
05
Use Target Points as your TPs
SBox plots bullish targets above and bearish targets below based on prior swing levels. These become your TP1, TP2, TP3 — the exact stock prices you’ll plug into the Options Analyzer.
FRAMEWORK: Price inside the box → range-bound, trade off the edges. Price breaking the top with momentum → long the breakout, target the upper TPs. Price breaking the bottom → short the breakdown, target the lower TPs.
The Go / Skip Decision Matrix — Read Before Every Trade
2u call signal with all higher TFs green, MTF Score > 50%, price inside or near the SBox Golden Zone. Everything aligned. GO
Direction agrees, but Score is 25–49%. Bias is there but not dominant. Trade smaller size or wait for confirmation. SIZE DOWN
Price broke the SBox top, pulled back to it, and is holding. The retest IS the entry — don’t wait for a new signal. EARLY OK
2u on the radar but MTF Score is negative. You’re fighting the bigger trend. Either skip or wait for the higher TFs to flip. SKIP
Score under 25%. Mixed timeframes. No clear bias. Probably chop — low-probability environment for directional options. WAIT
Resistance is right there. Even with bullish bias, a fresh call now has limited upside before hitting the wall. Wait for break + retest. WAIT
Lower-TF buy signal but the bigger TF just rejected. Higher TF wins — this is a trap waiting to spring. SKIP
MTF Score over 75%, signal direction matches, price just broke through with momentum. Highest-quality setup. PRESS
MINDSET: The goal of Phase 2 isn’t to find reasons to trade — it’s to find reasons NOT to. If two of these checks come back negative, the signal is probably noise. Protect your capital by being picky.
⬡ PHASE 3 — EXECUTE
Pick the contract, plan the trade, manage the exit. Now you know what and where. The Execute phase translates your bias into the specific option contract, sets your stops and targets in advance, and tracks the trade so you don’t fly blind.
sXOptions Chain — Find the Contract
sXOptions Chain
01
What it does
Displays a live 9-strike option chain right on your chart — calls on one side, puts on the other — with prices, deltas, volume, and (optionally) theta. No need to open your broker to see what’s liquid and what isn’t.
02
Pick your expiry
Use the presets: 0DTE (today), 1DTE (tomorrow), Next Fri (weekly), 2x Fri (2 weeks out), or Monthly (next 3rd Friday). Or set it manually with the calendar.
03
Read delta to gauge directional exposure
Delta tells you how much the option moves per $1 in the stock. A 0.50 delta call gains roughly $0.50 on a $1 up-move. Suggestion: 0.30–0.45 delta is a common balance of cost and movement; 0.50+ is more conservative; under 0.20 is lottery-ticket territory.
04
Check volume for liquidity
High volume = tight spreads, easy fills. Avoid strikes with very low volume — you’ll pay the spread on both sides. The Vol column tells you instantly which strikes the market actually trades.
05
Use the Price Filter to budget-shop
Set a min/max price (e.g., $0.50–$2.00) and the indicator highlights the highest-volume call and put within your budget. Perfect when you have a fixed dollar amount per trade.
06
Turn on Score Mode for ranked options
Score Mode rates each strike 0–10 based on five technical conditions: EMA cross, volume spike, price trend, BB squeeze, and option-level breakout. Filter to a minimum score (default 4) to hide weak setups.
EXPIRY SUGGESTIONS: 0DTE/1DTE = high theta risk, only for high-conviction same-day moves. Weeklies (Next Fri / 2x Fri) = balance of cost and time, common for swing setups. Monthlies = more expensive but give you breathing room for trades that need days to play out. Match expiry to your timeframe.
sXOptions Analyzer — Plan & Track
sXOptions Analyzer
01
What it does
Takes your chosen contract and shows you exactly what stock price moves your TPs and stop loss correspond to. You see your full risk/reward map on the chart before you click buy — no more guessing what price the option needs to hit your target.
02
Set up the contract
Choose your expiry preset, contract type (Calls or Puts), and strike. With Auto strike ON, the strike field becomes an offset from ATM (+3 = three above, -3 = three below). With Auto OFF, type the exact strike price.
03
Lock your entry price on entry
The moment you fill, hit "Lock" to capture the live stock price as your entry reference. Or type your exact fill into the Entry $ field. This anchors every P&L and target calculation to your real cost basis.
04
Plan up to 4 profit targets
Set TP1–TP4 as % gains (20%, 50%, 100%, 200%) OR as stock prices (use the "Stock $" toggle). Pull these stock-price targets straight from your SBox Target Points — the two tools are built to talk to each other.
05
Set your stop loss BEFORE you enter
Type a positive % (e.g., 50) for a standard stop, or a negative % (e.g., -30) for a trailing profit lock that activates after the option gains 30%. You’ll see the exact stock price the stop triggers at — printed on your chart.
06
Turn on Live P&L to track in real time
The Live P&L row shows your current dollar P&L, % return, and which TP/SL level price is closest to. No more flipping to your broker every 30 seconds — the trade lives on your chart.
NON-NEGOTIABLE: Configure your stop loss before you buy the option. If you don’t know the stock price where you’re wrong, you don’t have a trade — you have a hope, and hope is not a strategy.
Execute Scenarios — Strike & Expiry Suggestions
Daily 2u + Super Bull MTF Score + SBox top break. Holding 2–5 days. Suggestion: ATM to 1 strike OTM, 2x Fri or Monthly expiry, delta 0.40–0.55. GO
1H 2u + Strong Bull score + price clearing SBox midpoint. Same-day exit. Suggestion: ATM or 1 strike OTM, 0DTE or Next Fri, delta 0.45–0.55. Watch theta. GO
Price broke the box, pulled back to it, holding. The retest is the entry — don’t wait for a new radar signal. Suggestion: stop = closing back inside the box. EARLY OK
Bullish reversal at support with MTF flipping from Bear to Lean. Counter-trend bounce play. Suggestion: tight stop, TP1 = SBox midpoint, smaller size. CONFIRM
Bearish reversal at resistance with MTF turning down. Counter-trend short. Suggestion: puts, tight stop above the shooter wick. CONFIRM
Bar is coiled. Next bar resolves direction. Suggestion: wait. Buying inside bars is paying premium with no edge. WAIT
Price already moved 70%+ of daily ATR in your direction. Most of the move is done; risk/reward is upside-down. SKIP
Chain shows the strike you want with thin volume. Wide spread will eat your edge. Suggestion: move 1 strike toward ATM where volume is fatter. ADJUST

Pre-Trade Checklist — Run Before Every Click
sXRadarsXMTF TrendssXSBoxsXOptions ChainsXOptions Analyzer
① SCAN CHECKS
Ticker is on the Radar with an active signal If it’s not lit up on sXRadar right now, there’s no setup. Don’t force one.
Signal direction matches my trade Bullish signal (2u/HA/F2D/green 3) for calls. Bearish (2d/SH/F2U/red 3) for puts.
Signal is fresh, not stale Lookback respected. A 2u from three bars ago has already played out — the entry window is closed.
TFC or sXc filter agrees If you have the directional filters on and the ticker still made the cut — that’s alignment.
② ANALYZE CHECKS
MTF Score is Lean or better Score < 25% (Neutral) means chop. Lean = small size. Strong/Super = standard or press.
Higher TFs agree with my direction Your chart TF + at least one TF above should match. Fighting the bigger trend usually loses.
SBox levels mapped — I know my targets TP1 and TP2 are real stock prices from SBox target points, not numbers I made up.
Price has room to run Today hasn’t already burned 80%+ of its ATR in my direction. There’s gas left in the tank.
③ EXECUTE CHECKS
Strike has real volume Liquid contract = tight spread. Thin volume eats your edge before the trade even starts.
Expiry matches my hold time 0DTE only for same-day. Weekly for 1–3 day swings. Monthly when the trade needs room.
Entry locked in the Analyzer The moment you fill, lock the entry price. Every P&L number anchors here.
Stop loss set in dollars, not vibes I know the exact stock price where I’m wrong. It’s on the chart. I will respect it.
Position size is standard, not emotional Same risk per trade as every other trade. “Feeling it” is not a sizing strategy.
THE DISCIPLINE RULE: If you can’t check every box, you don’t have a trade — you have a setup that isn’t ready. Step away from the keyboard and wait for the next one. There will always be another setup. There’s only one of your account.
